Keep Shipping Safe!
Did you know what items are safe to ship and which ones aren’t? If
not, how do you know what is safe to ship and what’s not? In the
event that you ship a potentially dangerous or restricted item, you
may be held personally responsible for any consequences that occur.
At postalcenter, we are committed to keeping the transportation
systems safe. Here are some common items to consider:
Liquids
Alcohol
Beer, wine and liquor cannot be shipped.
Companies or individuals can be allowed to ship alcohol in states
where it is allowed. These individuals must be registered with the
state and follow the laws and regulations of that state and the
shipping carrier they use. We do not ship alcohol at postalcenter.
Flammable Items such as can not be shipped. See a list below:
*Some cologne and perfume products are not flammable and therefore
can be shipped. Check with the manufacturer before sending.
Batteries
Liquid electrolyte or hydrochloric acid cannot be shipped.
Battery Powered Devices
Battery powered devices must be shipped with the batteries removed.
This is because the items can turn on in transit that may result in
overheating which can cause fire.
Batteries can be shipped in the same package as long as the
batteries are not liquid electrolyte or hydrochloric acid.
Firearms cannot be shipped.
Firearms can be shipped directly at some UPS or FedEx Stations.
Contact the carrier to find a station near you that has this ability
and the requirements.
Dangerous Boxes
Dangerous Goods and Alcohol Boxes cannot be shipped. If there is a
diamond on the box, you can not re-use it.
